76ers Gaming Club (GC) (4-3) split its Week 6 matchups on Friday at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. In its first game of the week76ers GC dropped a back-and-forth battle to Warriors Gaming Squad (6-3), 53-50. Game 2 featured another close-knit contest, with 76ers GC defeating Heat Check Gaming (4-5), 60-59, behind a game-winning bucket from Manuel “Newdini” Newman II.

Despite being down as much as 10 to Warriors Gaming Squad in the first half, 76ers GC kept its composure and cut the deficit to five at halftime, trailing 27-22.

76ers GC used a 15-7 third quarter to take the lead heading into the fourth, however Warriors Gaming Squad countered with a 19-point fourth period to reclaim the lead late in the final frame, and ultimately win by three.

Ethan “Radiant” White posted a game-high 23 points and six assists. Alexander “Steez” Bernstein was the only other teammate of his to reach double figures, tallying 15 points on 7-for-9 shooting and grabbing nine rebounds.

Game 2 proved to be another close contest as 76ers Gaming Club battled from behind after trailing Heat Check Gaming early on. After fighting from behind during the first half, the team took a 32-29 lead in the third quarter.

After Heat Check Gaming tied it at 40 apiece by the end of the third, they rattled off a 6-0 run to reclaim their advantage early in the fourth quarter. 76ers GC kept its composure, and battled back to take a 54-53 lead late in fourth thanks to back-to-back triples from Rashann “ZDS” Petty.

76ers GC had a two-point edge with under a minute left before Brandon “Hood” Caicedo knocked down a three to give Heat Check Gaming a 59-58 lead.

After missing a three-pointer with four seconds left, 76ers GC was able to corral the offensive rebound and call timeout to get one final look. The team inbounded the ball to Radiant, who was able to hit Newdini33 on a backdoor cut who put in a layup at the buzzer to give 76ers Gaming Club the win, 60-59.

Radiant continued his dominant play against a tough Heat Check defense, scoring 21 points and picking up nine assists along with Player of the Game honors. ZDS posted 14 points including four-of-six shooting from three.

At 4-3, 76ers GC now owns the sixth-best record in the NBA 2K League.
