76ers Gaming Club (GC) (3-2) split its Week 4 matchups on Friday at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. In its first game on the night, 76ers GC fell to Blazer5 Gaming (6-1), 63-49. The team was able to bounce back in their second game of the night, taking down Knicks Gaming (1-4), 65-59, in a contest that would be decided in the final minutes. Through Week 4, 76ers GC’s record of 3-2 is tied for the sixth-best in the league.

The team’s first matchup on the night featured a meeting with last season’s MVP and Defensive Player of the Year, Dayne “OneWildWalnut” Downey and Blazer5 Gaming.

Despite trailing by six points (10-4) early, 76ers Gaming Club put together an 8-2 run in the final minutes of the first quarter to climb within two points after one, with the 14-12 in favor of Blazer5 Gaming.

Blazer5 got hot in the second period behind Nidal “MAMA IM DAT MAN” Nasser knocking down two three-pointers as 76ers GC’s deficit climbed to seven at the half.

The lead stretched to 12 in the third period as Blazer5 Gaming continued its strong shooting night, however76ers GC managed to stop the bleeding late in the quarter and get the lead back into single digits after three quarters.

76ers GC traded baskets throughout the fourth, but was not able to put a dent in Blazer5’s lead in the final period as the team ultimately fell 63-49.

Rashann “ZDS” Petty led the way for 76ers Gaming Club in the first game of the night with 12 points and five rebounds. Ethan “Radiant” White chipped in eight points along with dishing out nine assists.

Blazer5 was led by MAMA IM DAT MAN with 27 points and 10 assists and OneWildWalnut with 22 points and 18 rebounds.

76ers GC looked to bounce back in its second game of the night as they took on NBA 2K League defending champions Knicks Gaming.

Despite 76ers GC rattling off a 7-0 run early in the game, Knicks Gaming found a rhythm on the offensive end to take a four-point lead after one at 16-12.

The 76ers GC offense began to click in the second period, managing to capitalize on opportunities in the paint, and was able to reclaim the lead and take a 36-31 advantage into the break.

The team opened up the third period on a 7-2 run to extend its lead to double digits early in the quarter. However, Knicks Gaming was able get their offense going towards the end of the third to close the gap to 51-46 heading into the final period.

After being down as much as nine in the fourth, Knicks Gaming managed to chip away at the lead and cut the deficit to just two at 59-57 with under two minutes remaining.

76ers GC kept its composure down the stretch, as Radiant and ZDS knocked down back-to-back threes in the final two minutes to extend the lead back to six points late in the fourth and seal the victory.

Radiant led the way for 76ers GC against Knicks Gaming, finishing with 22 points and nine assists earning him Intel Player of the Game honors.

ZDS added in 18 points and three steals, while Alexander “Steez” Bernstein secured a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, also dishing out three assists.
