Tilton ‘xTFr3sHxX’ Curry Named Recipient of First-Ever NBA 2K League Sportsmanship Award

PHILADELPHIA — AUG. 11, 2018 — The NBA 2K League announced tonight that 76ers Gaming Club (GC) center Tilton “xTFr3sHxX” Curry was named the recipient of the first-ever NBA 2K League Sportsmanship Award. The Sportsmanship Award was voted on by the NBA 2K League players, who had two-thirds of the vote, and NBA 2K League team managers and on-air talent, who comprised one-third of the vote.
“Tilton mentored teammates and became a leader; even coaching the team when called upon,” 76ers GC General Manager Michael Lai said. “His passionate and positive demeanor extends to the way he interacts with opponents, the broadcast team and the league as a whole. We at 76ers GC are lucky to have a player like him — a personification of sportsmanship.”
“Tilton has been a huge part to our success story,” 76ers GC Head Coach Jeff Terrell said. “He has never lost sight of what being a team player truly means. It’s tough coming in thinking you are going to start and not playing a single game, but he has embraced his role. He has really brought a different level to our team with his energy day in and day out. I am blessed to coach someone like Tilton, and he will continue to have success not only in this league but in life.”
76ers GC drafted center xTFr3sHxX with the 82nd overall pick in the fifth round of the inaugural NBA 2K League Draft in April. The 27-year-old from Darmstadt, Germany played the most games by a center in the NBA 2K League Combine. In 172 games in the combine, he averaged 29.3 points, 18.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game.
