Recap: Week 9 | Heat Check Gaming Club

76ers Gaming Club (GC) fell to Heat Check Gaming, 86-71, Friday night at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. 76ers GC fell to 7-4 on the regular season, while Heat Check Gaming improved to 6-4. 76ers GC is tied with Cavs Legion GC for third in the league. Only Blazer5 Gaming (9-1) and Pistons GT (7-3) have better records.

 

76ers GC power forward Mihad “I F E A S T” Feratovic led the team with a season-high 33 points, shooting 16-of-19 from the field. The Brooklyn native added six rebounds, two assists and one block to his stat line.

 

Across tournament and regular-season play, I F E A ST is averaging 11.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

 

76ers GC point guard Ethan “Radiant” White continues to facilitate 76ers GC’s offense as the 19-year-old dished out a game-high 19 assists. Radiant’s 19 assists almost bested Heat Check Gaming as a team with the squad posting just 20 total assists.

 

Radiant is averaging a double-double across the regular season and tournament play with 19.1 points and 12.7 assists per game. His 12.7 assists rank second-best in the NBA 2K League.

 

76ers GC small forward Antonio “Newdini” Newman tallied 13 points, making 3-of-4 attempts from beyond the arc.  Newdini is now shooting a .454 three-point percentage for the season.

 

76ers GC center Alexander “Steez” Bernstein recorded seven points, eight rebounds and a game-high four blocks. The California native now has 40 blocks this season, which ranks second-most in the league.

 

Heat Check Gaming’s Juan “Hotshot” Gonzalez propelled his team with 54 points, which is an NBA 2K League single-game scoring record. Hotshot converted on 25-of-34 shots from the field and went a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range.

 

As a team, Heat Check Gaming did not commit a turnover in the 24 minutes of play.
