Recap: Week 7 | Warriors Gaming Club

76ers Gaming Club (GC) defeated Warriors Gaming Squad, 68-65, Saturday evening at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. 76ers GC improved to 6-2 on the regular season, moving within one game of first place Blazer5 Gaming (7-1), while Warriors GamingSquad fell to 1-6.

76ers GC point guard Ethan “Radiant” White led the way with a 23-point, 19-assist performance for his sixth double-double of the regular season. Committing just one turnover in the victory, Radiant improved his assist-to-turnover ratio in the regular season to 7.7.

76ers GC power forward Mihad “I F E A S T” Feratovic was on the receiving end of many of Radiant’s dishes as he posted a career-high 19 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field. This was the fourth time in his last five contests I F E A S T reached double figures in points.

76ers GC center Alexander “Steez” Bernstein added to the team’s efficiency on the offensive end, finishing eight of his 12 attempts from the field for 16 points. Ranked in the top five in the league in rebounds per game (9.2), Steez brought down a game-high eight boards against Warriors Gaming Squad.

Implementing plenty of screens into the offense from the tip, I F E A S T and Steez both benefited from the space Radiant was able to operate in as the two big men finished with a combined 35 points on 17-of-22 shooting.

Saturday’s contest continued a streak of seven consecutive regular-season games in which 76ers GC has shot 50 percent or better from the floor. Against Warriors Gaming Squad, 76ers GC converted on 32 of their 47 attempts from the field, good for a season-high shooting percentage of 68 percent.

Warriors Gaming Squad was led by one the league’s top rebounders in Jordan “Vert” Gates. The power forward recorded team-highs in points (20) and rebounds (five) while contributing an assist, a block and a steal. Center Xavier “Type” Vescovi and shooting guard Alex “Bsmoove” Reese each added 14 points as well.
