Recap: Week 12 | Jazz Gaming

76ers Gaming Club (GC) defeated Jazz Gaming, 89-71, Friday night at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. 76ers GC improved to 10-4 and clinched the No. 2 seed in the NBA 2K League Playoffs, while Jazz Gaming fell to 5-9. 76ers GC joined Blazer5 Gaming (12-2) as the only two teams to finish the regular season with a double-digit win total.
76ers GC point guard Ethan “Radiant” White led the way with 27 points and a game-high 15 assists, good for his team-leading 11th double-double of the regular season. The Battle Creek, Michigan native did not commit a single turnover, marking his fourth contest of the regular season where he recorded at least 10 assists and zero turnovers. His assist-to-turnover ratio for the season stands at a team-best 6.41.
76ers GC center Alexander “Steez” Bernstein could not be contained as he dropped a team-high 34 points, shooting 16-of-21 from the field. Converting on a season-high 16 shots from the floor, Steez has now shot 60 percent or better in eight consecutive regular-season games and has made at least 50 percent of his attempts in all 14 contests of this season.
76ers GC power forward Mihad “I F E A S T” Feratovic brought down a game-high 11 rebounds and extended his streak of games with a block to four straight. Over the four-game stretch, I F E A S T has averaged 10.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
Through majority of the first half, 76ers GC and Jazz gaming were locked in a one possession game unitil Steez scored off of a feed from Radiant with 1:37 left in the half to push 76ers GC‘s lead to four. This was part of an 18-8 run to close out the first half for 76ers GC as they led at the end of the second quarter, 43-36.
From there, Radiant, 76ers GC shooting guard Rashann “ZDS” Petty and 76ers GC small forward Antonio “Newdini” Newman helped put the game away with an efficient night from beyond the arc. The trio combined for 9-of-14 (.643 percent) shooting from three-point range.
76ers GC outrebouded Jazz Gaming 21-9. It was the team’s largest rebound differential and fewest rebounds they have allowed during the regular season.
Jazz Gaming was led by point guard Shaka “Yeah I Compete” Browne, who posted 41 points (20-27 FG), 10 assists and six rebounds, all of which were team-highs.
The NBA 2K League announced on Saturday night that 76ers Gaming Club (GC) center Tilton “xTFr3sHxX” Curry was named the recipient of the first-ever NBA 2K League Sportsmanship Award. The Sportsmanship Award was voted on by NBA 2K League players, who had two-thirds of the vote, and NBA 2K League team managers and on-air talent, who comprised one-third of the vote.
76ers GC drafted center xTFr3sHxX with the 82nd overall pick in the fifth round of the inaugural NBA 2K League Draft in April. The 27-year-old from Darmstadt, Germany played the most games by a center in the NBA 2K League Combine. In 172 games in the combine, he averaged 29.3 points, 18.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game.
