76ers Gaming Club (GC) fell to Celtics Crossover Gaming, 78-69, in the semifinals of “THE TURN,” the league’s midseason tournament, Saturday night at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City. The No. 2 seeded 76ers GC first defeated No. 15 Grizz Gaming, 76-71, and No. 7 Wizards District, 70-67, before falling to No. 11 Celtics Crossover Gaming. 76ers GC won $12,800 for advancing to the semifinals, which increased its season prize total to $47,800 after the team won “THE TIPOFF” tournament in May.
76ers GC point guard and first-round pick Ethan “Radiant” White led the team in the tournament, averaging 24.0 points and 12.0 assists through three games while shooting .610 percent from the field.
A product of Battle Creek, Michigan, Radiant continues to excel dishing the basketball while limiting turnovers. With a team-high 36 assists to his five turnovers, Radiant held a 7.2 assist-to-turnover ratio during the tournament.
76ers GC center Alexander “Steez” Bernstein averaged 14.3 points, shooting 20-of-29 through three games. Steez also totaled 20 rebounds and five blocks, both of which were team-highs in THE TURN.
76ers GC power forward Mihad “I F E A S T” Feratovic and shooting guard Rashann “ZDS” Petty joined Radiant and Steez in averaging double-digits points through the three games with 12.7 and 11.0, respectively. I F E A S T shot a team-high .750 percent from the field during THE TURN, while ZDS shot a team-high .500 percent from beyond the arc.
