If you missed the first 76ers GC Roundup, go back and check it out for details on tournament rules, rosters and brackets before jumping into the Night 2 recap.

Last night, 76ers Gaming Club (GC) continued play at the NBA 2K League’s NBA 2KL Three for All Showdown, an online 3-on-3 tournament completed in the NBA 2K20 MyPark game mode.

The 76ers GC PS4 team took the first two games from Sugar Icy Ballas—featuring WNBA All-Star Sugar Rodgers of the Las Vegas Aces—to secure an early sweep of a best-of-three series for the second consecutive night. Ethan “Radiant” White, an All-NBA 2K League Second Team selection last season, kicked off the action with a 360 dunk in transition and finished with 10 points in each contest.

In the other bracket, the 76ers GC Xbox One squad split the first two games of its Round 2 battle with Power DF, before falling 21-7 in a deciding Game 3. Team defense categorized an impressive comeback victory for 76ers GC in Game 2. Trailing 17-11, the team closed with a 10-0 run to pick up the W. Christopher “BreadwinnerLA” Lafanette, a 2019 NBA 2K League All-Defensive and All-Rookie Team selection, posted a strong double-double with 12 points (6-7 fg) and 10 rebounds. 76ers GC was eliminated from the Xbox bracket with the Game 3 loss.

Jumping back to the PS4 side, the winner of 76ers GC and the Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai would earn a berth in Friday night’s semifinals. The Gen.G Tigers joined the NBA 2K League for the 2020 season. 76ers GC notched a 22-12 victory in Game 1 of the best-of-three series, but their opponents got one back in Game 2 by an eight-point margin. In the pivotal Game 3, 76ers GC took care of business with a 23-12 victory. Radiant tallied a game-high 13 points (6-7 fg, 1-1 3fg) while Steez added eight points (4-5 fg) and six rebounds.

The 76ers GC PS4 team comprised of Radiant, Steez and Scretty sits just a few games away from a championship and a share of the $25,000 prize pool.

POSTGAME QUOTES

76ERS GAMING CLUB HEAD COACH AND 2019 NBA 2K LEAGUE COACH OF THE YEAR, JEFF TERRELL

On what stood out in the series win over the Gen.G Tigers in the quarterfinals…

Our series against Gen.G was a good one and we have a lot of respect for those guys. Our team has displayed a consistent, positive mindset throughout this ‘Three for All Showdown’ tournament. We are excited to play in the semifinals tonight and have every intention of trying to bring home the title!

On the defensive effort in Game 2 of a hard-fought series with Power DF in the Xbox bracket…

Our Xbox team played well despite using unfamiliar builds and positions. They played great against a team that is very good at Park. I’m proud of our players for adapting to the best of their ability.
