PHILADELPHIA – JULY 20, 2020 – 76ers Gaming Club (GC) (6-8), the NBA 2K League team of the Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment portfolio, swept its Week 10 matchups with victories over NetsGC and Hawks Talon GC this past Tuesday and Friday, respectively. With a second consecutive 2-0 week, the winningest team in NBA 2K League history extended its current winning streak to five games and became the first team in league history to record 50 victories all-time.

“We’re peaking at the right time,” said 76ers GC Head Coach and 2019 NBA 2K League Coach of the Year Jeff Terrell. “We’ve bought in. We’re playing for each other. You can tell [that] our communication and our defensive rotations are a lot better. On offense, there’s a lot more movement going on and guys are hitting shots. I’m excited. We’re going to continue to keep pushing. We’re going to try to be the only team to make the playoffs three-straight years – that’s our goal.”

In Tuesday night’s 2-1, best-of-three series victory over NetsGC, 2019 NBA 2K League MVP finalist Ethan “Radiant” White recorded two games with 50-plus points and, for the series, averaged 48.7 points and 5.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game. 76ers GC secured the series with an 80-74 overtime win in Game 3. Radiant posted 53 points and eight assists in Game 3, while Rashann “Scretty” Petty added 14 points. Christopher “BreadwinnerLA” Lafanette nearly notched a double-double, finishing the contest with nine points and 10 rebounds. Michael “USERPICK” Albiter grabbed 10 rebounds of his own, and Alexander “Steez” Bernstein swiped a game-high five steals.

“We’re just playing better as a team,” said Radiant. “Our offense is clicking. Our defense is clicking. Once that happens, it’s pretty much over.”

In Friday night’s series, 76ers GC swept Hawks Talon GC by capturing each of the first two contests. 76ers GC cruised to its fifth-straight win behind 18-point and 19-point margins of victory. Radiant poured in 44 points in Game 1 before tallying a double-double in Game 2 with 30 points and 12 assists. BreadwinnerLA stuffed the stat sheet in Game 1 with eight points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, nine steals and five blocks.

“We put a full game together,” said Terrell. “We were up 10 at one point, and instead of letting them hang around and go on a run, we pushed [our lead] to 20 or 30. I’m proud of [the team] for just continuing to strive to push the lead further. We put together a great series. I’m proud of them.”
