76ers Gaming Club Sweeps Week 9, Extends Winning Streak To Three Games

76ERS GC DEFEATS LAKERS GAMING AND KNICKS GAMING IN CONSECUTIVE NBA 2K LEAGUE ‘CASH GAMES’ WORTH $2,500 EACH

TWO MORE REGULAR SEASON GAMES SCHEDULED BEFORE ‘THE TURN’ TOURNAMENT

PHILADELPHIA – JULY 10, 2020 – 76ers Gaming Club (GC) (4-8), the NBA 2K League team of the Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment portfolio, swept its Week 9 matchups with victories over Lakers Gaming and Knicks Gaming this past Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Both contests were among the NBA 2K League’s 23 regular-season matches with cash-prize implications.

“Our communication, our energy level – it was unreal,” said 76ers GC Head Coach and 2019 NBA 2K League Coach of the Year Jeff Terrell. “Our guys are starting to figure it out. I’ve always been really big on peaking at the right time, and I think we’re beginning to start striding in that direction.”

In Tuesday night’s 2-1, best-of-three series victory over Lakers Gaming, Christopher “BreadwinnerLA” Lafanette stuffed the stat sheet with 13.7 points, 15.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. 76ers GC took the decisive Round 3 game, 89-66, behind 37 points and seven assists from 2019 NBA 2K League MVP finalist Ethan “Radiant” White. Rashann “Scretty” Petty poured in 26 points with five assists, while BreadwinnerLA racked up 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots.

76ers GC then defeated Knicks Gaming, 2-1, on Wednesday. In the all-important Round 3 meeting, 76ers GC tallied an impressive 105 points—five points shy of the NBA 2K League record—in a 27-point win. Radiant dominated the series by scoring 132 points over three games. For the matchup, Radiant averaged 44.0 points and 6.7 assists per game, while shooting .683 percent from the field.

“That’s the Radiant we’ve all known for the past two seasons,” said Terrell. “He goes out there and just scores at will. This year, it’s been an adjustment. But if he plays like that, we’re a tough team to beat, we’re definitely a tough team to beat.”

76ers GC is scheduled to play two more regular-season games before competing in ‘THE TURN’ Tournament beginning on Thursday, July 23.

Select games will be aired live on ESPN2 and ESPN’s digital platforms, and all matchups will be simulcast live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
