76ers Gaming Club Announces 2020 Remote Gameplay Schedule

PHILADELPHIA — MAY 1, 2020 — Today, the NBA 2K League unveiled the league’s remote gameplay schedule. The 2020 NBA 2K League season will begin on Tuesday, May 5 when 76ers Gaming Club (GC) matches up live against Raptors Uprising GC at 7 p.m. on the 76ers GC’s Twitch channel. 76ers GC will play a total of nine remote games.

In Week 2, 76ers GC will compete in a highly anticipated match against T-Wolves Gaming on Friday, May 15 at 9:30 p.m. EST. This will mark the club’s first meeting with T-Wolves Gaming since falling to them in Game 5 of the 2019 Finals. A meeting with Gen.G Tigers comes in Week 3 on Wednesday, May 20 at 9 p.m. EST. This will be the first-ever meeting between 76ers GC and the Gen.G Tigers, one of the two new clubs to join the NBA 2K League this season. 76ers GC completed a trade with Gen.G Tigers in the off-season to retain Rashann “Scretty” Petty.

All 23 NBA 2K League teams will participate in regular-season game play from their local markets with games simulcast live on the NBA 2K League’s Twitch and YouTube channels. All 76ers GC games will simulcast live on the team’s Twitch channel.

Each 76ers GC match will be played in a best-of-three format, which will allow the NBA 2K League broadcast to switch between games in real-time and give fans more opportunities to experience the league’s most exciting moments. Teams will participate in regular-season gameplay every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. EST.

“Our team is ready to get season three started,” said 76ers GC Head Coach Jeff Terrell. “Competing in our home market provides a unique circumstance which is special to us. We are representing Philadelphia from Philadelphia. We have so much love and respect for our fans, so having the opportunity to stay home and compete in the league that we love is incredible. Our schedule excites us – and while we approach each game a week at a time, we all have the game against the T-Wolves circled on our calendar.”

76ers GC will launch its 2020 brand campaign on Tuesday, May 5, alongside the start of regular season play. The campaign embodies the team’s renewed spirit as they head into the 2020 season. Coming off the bold gameplay and valiant effort of Season Two, in which the team came within one win of being crowned 2019 NBA2K League Champions, the campaign expresses the ferocious, determined and dominant sentiment that GC is bringing to Season Three. Taking a cue from Philadelphia’s rich boxing culture, fans will see new distressed colors, game-day graphics and photo treatments on all 76ers GC content. The team will continue to use its seminal hashtag #HereWeCome in the 2020 season.

“Our new brand campaign is incredible,” said 76ers GC Head Coach Jeff Terrell. “It conveys our team’s personality and the vision for our program moving into the 2020 season. We have seen extreme success on the court but have not yet reached our ultimate goal – to bring home a championship to Philadelphia and our fans. We have set a winning standard across the league with three key factors that weave through the fabric of our program: family, winning and passion. Our new brand campaign manifests all three of these values perfectly.”

76ers GC enters the 2020 season with a roster of corporate partners behind them, including: Alienware: Official PC Hardware Provider of 76ers GC, Raynor Group: Official Gaming Chair of 76ers GC, Rothman Orthopaedics: Official Orthopaedics Partner of 76ers GC, and Air Force: Official Partner of 76ers GC, as well as Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Snipes USA and Herr’s.
